Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz – Hotel Review

When I got my bloggers accreditation for ITB Berlin, I started to look for my accommodation. I decided that I will go to Berlin with my parents so they can visit my favorite city and I will be busy with ITB. While searching for a hotel, I remembered that at the end of last year there was an opening of Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz located just next to the KaDeWe shopping mall. I have made a reservation and was waiting for my stay there with impatience!

My first thought when I have entered the hotel was – It’s so fashionable in here! Yeah, the whole hotel was really well decorated, and you can feel here like inside a designer studio. A lot of design and fashion related books on the tables and a lot of tailor’s accessories.

I have reserved a Privilege Room with 2 single beds and 1 extra bed. I have to admit that first time in my life I slept on the most comfortable extra bed in the world. Usually, when you sleep on the sofa, you wake up even more tired. But at the Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz if you travel with a family of friends you will sleep like a baby. Inside our room, we got welcomed by this lovely looking lady on the wall 🙂

Yes, this is the best foldaway bed! Very, very comfortable!

Coffee maker and electric jug area. Inside the fridge, you will find free beverages such as beer, water, Fanta, apple juice, and Cola. They were filling our mini fridge without any cost.

Inside the bathroom, there was also a big picture of (I guess the same) model. We also had some of the VIP amenities in our bathroom, which were included in our room rate. On the bed, there were also 3 bathrobes and slippers.

Blue corridors and a lot of mirrors. Yes, this is a hotel for fashionistas 🙂 Now I wish I’m a fashion blogger 🙂

Like every time I have to mention, that I love breakfast 🙂 During every stay at any hotel that is my favorite part of the day.

Fortunately, at the Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz, they had a huge choice of hot and cold dishes, as well as fresh baked goods, fruits, and good coffee.  Really helpful and friendly restaurant staff is also what makes breakfast special. In Mercure Wittenbergplatz they were very helpful, but sometimes it was hard to communicate (I wish I speak German!!). But in general, I really recommend not to miss their special Frühstück ❤  Enjoy!

Big choice of baked goods (I recommend their pain au chocolat) and cold cuts!

Yeah, everyone was hungry at the hotel 🙂 I have to admit that they had a great choice of different kinds of cheese from Germany! The best one was the one with a peanut taste<3

What I really enjoy as a big fan of dairy (but I shouldn’t :() was this huge selection of cottage cheese made with fruits or with vegetables. You can find there also Rice Pudding, fruit salads and more!

Can you spot all the details? This decoration on the wall looks like a belt! Bravo Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz for such an unusual design and decorations all around your hotel!

It was a fantastic stay, and definitely, I will be back to this hotel during my trips to Berlin or next year when I will be visiting ITB Berlin 🙂

  1. Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz looks very stylish! I love the funky design with the pop of colour on the walls and cushions. I can’t believe the stock the mini fridge for free too – that is very cool! I’m a big fan of buffet breakfasts at hotels too, and this one looks like a very good spread! The cute little bowls of yoghurt and the pastries look delicious! We will have to stay here next time we visit Berlin!

  5. I love Mercure hotels, they are always so funky – not sure how I feel about the blown up photograph in the loo but maybe that’s just me. I have to say though this seems like the perfect hotel for a city break.
