Welcome to Podgorica, the beautiful capital of Montenegro (which was my 40th country visited!). I always wanted to visit Balkans to experience their culture, ty their tasty food and admire the views. Luckily I got really cheap Wizzair tickets to Podgorica from Katowice (unfortunately this is only a seasonal connection, so we have to wait for more flight until next year) and decided to stay for 4 nights in one of the most luxurious hotels in Montenegro, which is Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora located in the heart of the city. Hotel was formerly known as Hotel Crna Gora (built in 1953) – a significant property that attracted a lot of celebrities, tourists and businessman traveling to Podgorica.

Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora offers 180 newly renovated, really spacious and luxurious rooms as well as suites. Each room is connected to Wifi, offer 40-inch Smart TV and media hub. You can relax and sleep in their Hilton Serenity bed which will always ensure a good night sleep. Luckily I got a really lovely Delux room with a Park View on the Hilton Honor’s floor. This around 45 sqm room has anything you need to have an unforgettable stay. A big working area with a desk and comfortable chair, chaise-long, air conditioner, laptop-size safety box, and iron that you can find in a big wardrobe.In your room, you will have access to a well equipped mini bar with soft as well as alcoholic drinks. There is a kettle which helps you to make a tea or coffee without leaving your room.

My room was just simply beautiful and very comfortable. But when I have discovered bathroom I was even happier 🙂 Big bathroom with shower, bathtub, toilet, and a large mirror is all I need 🙂 You can find bathrobes, bath slippers, and my favorite Peter Thomas Roth cosmetics!Hotel guests can enjoy 4 restaurants and lounges located in the property. In one of them (“Restaurant Crna Gora” located next to the lobby area) you can enjoy your breakfast. I really have to admit that it’s a very rich and generous buffet where you can find a lot of local products, which is perfect if you want to discover Montenegrin cuisine.

In the buffet, you can find a lot of cold cuts and delicious kind of cheese coming from local producers.

Do not forget to find some place on your plate for fresh fruits that will give you energy for the whole day.

There is a big choice of warm dishes like eggs (you HAVE TO order and try their eggs benedict!), sausages, vegetables and more.

Do not forget to visit their sweet buffet. The choice is big but to be honest, I can only recommend chocolate balls, which looks like they were made in the hotel’s restaurant 🙂 And this is what I really appreciate!

After a long day visiting Podgorica or other beautiful cities you can relax and refresh at the hotel’s indoor pool that you can find at Doclea Spa. You can also find there whirlpool, saunas and experience showers (try they one where you can experience tropical storm:)). If you only want to relax and take care of your body, you should reserve a treatment like a massage, haircut, manicure or facial treatment at the Spa.

For those who always keep fit even during travels, Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora prepared big fitness room with a lot of different workout equipment like treadmill and more for your strength training program.

Hotel Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora is a 5 stars property where I have spent fantastic 4 days. I had a chance to meet some great front office staff as well as taste their fantastic breakfast, which according to me deserves a culinary Oscar 🙂 As a Hilton Honors member I was welcomed with respect and got a room according to my preferences on Hilton Honors floor.

Hotel’s lobby is spacious and very well designed. You will definitely feel there like in a luxurious hotel. Behind the front desk, you can see a lot of keys hanging on the wall. These were the old keys from a former Hotel Crna Gora that was a real landmark in Podgorica before recreating it into Hilton.

Podgorica by night looks impressive from the 8th floor where The Sky Deck is located. This is where you can admire spectacular views on the capital of Montenegro. I remember drinking delicious cider and trying local beer while having a great conversation with staff working there. People working at Sky Deck deserve a medal for being very friendly, hospitable and predictable. The hotel also organizes a cultural events like concerts in Sky Deck, check their facebook fan page to learn more.

Behind Lobbe Area you can find a small Business Center that you can use anytime to print your tickets or book another flight.

In the evening HIton Podgorica Crna Gora looks really beautiful will all of these lights. I have to admit that the main entrance that is located on Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjskog looks very prestigious and while you enter this hotel, you can feel like a celebrity welcomed by one of the concierges.

Staff working at the Front Desk is amicable! Comparing to most of the team that I had a chance to meet while traveling around Poland or other European countries these young people working at Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora are much more friendlier and pay more attention to the guest.

To resume my post, I would like to add that unfortunately when everything is perfect, there must be some disadvantages… Just to explain to you the long story short I was disappointed in communication with the Hotel before my arrival.

As I planned to visit other cities and had no access to the car I sent an email to the hotel (around 2 weeks before my arrival) asking for tour companies that can take me for a trip to Budva, Kotor and other famous cities in Montenegro. After not receiving any response back I have sent a message to their Facebook Fan Page. This time they have answered and only told me to wait… So that’s what I did… And now after 2 months since my check-out still have no answer… This made me feel very disappointed because I think that HIton brand cares about customers BEFORE, DURING and AFTER their stay at one of their property.

Well, here they didn’t even care to answer. I’m not sad cause I have another company by myself, but as a customer of this 5 starts property would like to be treated with real hospitality and attention.

Thank you Hilton Podgorica Crna Gora for this beautiful stay!! Keep doing a great job but also DO NOT FORGET to answer your emails, even when they concern some simple stuff like city tours 🙂
