Hotel Review & Photos: Ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Myeongdong

I have spent a lot of time preparing for my trip to Seoul. All I knew is that I only have 5 days and A LOT of things to see. Mainly as a big fan of Korean cosmetic products I wanted to live close to Myeongdong, which is famous for hundreds of cosmetic stores. I have never been to Korea before, that is why I wanted to have an unforgettable stay in a comfortable, clean and beautiful hotel, which doesn’t cost a lot. After analyzing internet reviews my main choice was  Ibis Styles Ambassador in Myeongdong area in Seoul. I have made a reservation 2 month prior to my visit and chosen a nice room with a Double Bed for me and my sister.

We have arrived there around 8pm and from the main door were welcomed by a very nice hotel staff. We really appreciated their hospitality. From check-in to check-out they were very helpful and gave us all necessary details as this was our first time in incredible South Korea. They have also upgraded our breakfast to the lounge floor (21st and the last floor).

Our room was very small but surprisingly we had a lot of space for all our staff. We admired the design and the washroom with separate toilet.

In the corner next to the huge window we had a little desk with coffee set and a comfortable red chair.

There was also a closet and safety box and minibar (where every day we got 2 free small bottles of mineral water). We also got 2 robes and 2 pairs of house slippers.

What we really loved about the room was this very big and comfortable bed. After a long journey from Poland we were really tired. We even woke up without Jet-lag 🙂

The next morning we woke up pretty early and decided to go for a breakfast right away. Beside the bad weather (luckily that was our first and last rainy day in Seoul) we were really satisfied with food and it quality. There was a big choice of Asian and European dishes.  Restaurant was very clean with a friendly staff and interesting design.

During the nice weather we were also able to have out breakfast outside with an incredible view on Seoul!

Hotel lobby, is very clean and there are always nice and helpful front desk agents as well as a lobby person who make sure everything is ok and always welcomes guests with a smile on his face! – a real Korean hospitality.

In lobby there are a lot of film details – we can see lights like in the cinema or old school cameras on the walls. There are also two elevators so you don’t have to wait for a long time to get to your room. I also recommend to ask for a room on the higher floor – just for the better view on the city (I was living on 17th floor).

Every guest has an access to computers located next to the Front Desk. There is a also a luggage storage, in case your flight is late at the night but you have to check out early during the day.

Outside there are few tables and chairs where you can relax and wait for your bus or taxi.

Here is the view of the hotel from the street. There are 180 rooms (Standard with 1 Double Bed or 2 single beds and Superior with 1 Double Bed). Hotel was opened on March 2014. Hotel is located next to the Myeongdong subway station (take exit number 10!) and its literally 3 minutes walk!

If you still have a power after walking around the city for a whole day (there are soon many cool things to do and to see there!) you can use their Fitness Centre or Sauna with an incredible view on the N Seoul Tower.

At the B1 floor you will find more services such as restaurant La Mode….

….or Laundry Room.

At the end of your stay you should definitely share your experience at the internet websites such as TripAdvisor.
