Let’s continue our trip to Seoul for a little bit more. Today I would like to show you another hotel that I have visited. While travelling around this incredible city I was able to see some of the most beautiful hotels. We had a pleasure to have a hotel trip at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Hotel! It was a pleasure to visit some of the most beautiful rooms and other public areas such as pool, lounge or F&B outlets. Thanks to an amazing General Manager we felt very welcomed and had an opportunity to learn a lot about culture and Marriott company from one of the Front Desk managers.
Hotel is located next to one of the biggest shopping area in Seoul as well as Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) which is a major urban development landmark worth to visit. This is a perfect location if you stay in Seoul for a short time and want to see as many things as possible.
First we had a pleasure to visit spacious and well appointed Presidential Suite. This 233 sqm room has 1 bedroom with King size bed, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living / sitting area. This breathtaking room has a city view and an executive lounge access.
Big dining area with a table for 10 people. With an access to kitchen you can definitely invite your guests to your room and hold a business or family meeting.
This gorgeous bedroom features big king size bed and there is a evening turndown service.
Marble bathroom with bathtub, make up mirror, hair dryer and robe with slippers.
Here is the example of Deluxe guest room with King size bed with an incredible view on Heunginjimun (one of the 8 Gates of Seoul). This 38sqm room has a walk-in-closet, marble bathroom with amenities, working area.
We also had an opportunity to visit Executive Lounge for Platinum and Gold members. We got welcomed by an amazing lady who works there and felt amazing in beautiful interior.
If you have a time and want to relax you should definitely use their Provence SPA by L’Occitane for massage, face or hair treatments. Hotel has also Fitness amenities with an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, children pool and Sauna.
In pool area we can see that everything is kept in while tonality with brown accents. For me it was definitely the most beautiful area in the hotel. You could feel there like in a 5 stars and luxurious property.
On the eleventh floor we visited Griffin bar, a popular spot for people to meet with their friends after work and grab very good drinks (bar got some prizes for the best Bartenders in town). I really like that this bar had a lot of small decorations which were making this place classy and magnificent. I totally felt there like in home where I collect a lot of souvenirs from my travels.
JW Marriott offers also few dining opportunities such as BLT Steak House, Tavolo 24 (international kitchen), Nutrition Bar or Seoul baking Company (with fresh pastries and sandwiches).
Here I have a few pictures from Tavolo 24 restaurant:
I really like the idea of the logo for JW Marriott brand. The Griffin, who is a mythical creature symbolizing courage and strength of the lion and vision and flying possibilities of the eagle. These were also characteristics of the kings in ancient times.
Thank you for reading my post! And hope you will enjoy your travels.
