Is there a place in Zakopane created with love and passion for design? A place where you can meet hospitality passionates and where they serve tasty breakfast? Yes! It’s Villa 11 Folk & Design. The real Polish Highlands style connected with modern interiors. Villa is well prepared in every single detail. From the entrance we have an impression to be at a house made in a real and unique Zakopane style of architecture.
At Villa you can experience real family atmosphere. The owner and originator is a very nice lady, called Basia – I have a lot of things in common with her. We both really admire travelling and beautiful interiors. Basia together with her husband Mateusz and little daughter love to discover the world. Little Zosia is a real traveler! At the age of 2 she had a chance to visit Japan and Hawaii! Basia loves to visit boutique hotels all around the world where she can get some inspirations for her Villa 11. There are few people working at Villa that I had a chance to meet. There’s no such an amazing atmosphere at Villa without Miss Ela who is working at the Front Desk and reservations. She knows every guest and takes care of Villa. At the kitchen area I have met two ladies who prepared for me a very tasty scrambled eggs for breakfast.
In love with Villa 11‘s interiors I took almost 300 pictures in one day! I want to show you some of them during beautiful winter time. Next time I will be there during summer time.

At the main floor there is also an area to relax nad wait for your room if it’s not ready yet or just to sit and read some magazines. On the little bench you can find some design related books or magazines where they mention Villa 11.
What I have found out once I entered the building is a perfect mix of white walls and wooden details. Personally I admire buildings made in Scandinavian style.
Bedrooms are set in a rustic and real Zakopane’s style. There are a lot details made of material called felt. Few years ago it was really popular, as a lot of girls had purses made of felt and you could see it everywhere on the streets. Even the Do Not Disturb sign was made of felt.
It’s time relax with the view on Tatra Mountains.
If after whole day of walking, skiing or visiting you are tired, I recommend to relax in sauna and relaxation room. You can find there very unique wallpaper presenting beautiful Polish Tatras.
If you need some free time and you are with your kids, you can leave them in this little house. I guarantee you will have a few hours just for yourself : )
All Villa’s guests have a 24 hours access to the eating area. This is a perfect place to sit in the evening with family or friends and have a nice dinner on your own. There’s no restaurant at the Villa so I recommend to buy some snacks to eat for your dinner.
In the evening guests can also enjoy nice tea or coffee and an infused water together with home made cookies. Every morning at this place you can have a tasty breakfast.
Gooooooooood morning Zakopane
I can’t imagine my day without big and tasty breakfast. And that’s what I got in Villa 11. Welcomed by two nice ladies, who offered me some hot dishes such as sausages or scrambled eggs I knew it will be a good day 🙂 Buffet was rich in fresh and tasty dishes.
Actually I’m currently on my diet, but I couldn’t stop when I was there : ) Everything was really fresh and tasty – like at mama’s place ; )
Villa 11 Folk & Design from outside looks like a typical house in Zakopane. When I came there I had an impression I’m visiting my own house. At the Villa 11 there is no typical 24hours open front desk. If you plan to arrive in the night hours you can easily arrange it with Miss Ela who will leave there keys for you. This also makes this place very comfortable to stay-in, if you re looking for some privacy.
Number 11 at Villa’s name, comes from the number on the street, as the full address is ulica Broniewskiego 11.
